Frivillige forårssæson 2026

torsdag 5. marts 2026

My name is Alix, I am 24 years old and originally from the south of France. After an education in classical arts and fashion design, I moved to Denmark to work in fashion in Copenhagen. Since then I have decided to switch career paths and pursue a new education in biology with a special interest in ornithology. My interest in birds has been following me for years and what started out as a hobby on the side has now taken a bigger part in my life. In Denmark I have started ringing birds at Vestamager and Rungstedlund CES sites, as well as in Gedser Bird Observatory. In 2026 I will be taking a gap year before starting to study biology in France and want to spend my time in observatories to expand my field skills and experience, which I'm very excited for. I am lucky and proud to say I will be working at Blåvand Bird Observatory from May to June 2026 and looking forward to all the adventures awaiting!

Clara Delahaye

Clara

Hello everyone, my name is Clara and I will migrate from northern France to Blaavand to join the team for the spring migration season. I have been passionate about birdwatching for several years, and in order to protect birds (and more globally living beings), I like to get involved in scientific programmes to learn more about them. Last year, I spent six months on the cliffs of Brittany observing the nesting habits of shag cormorants, herring gulls and black-legged kittiwakes! It was a wonderful experience, living to the rhythm of the waves, the wind and the birds. It was fascinating to observe and monitor the young birds until they were ready to fly.

This year, new horizons and challenges await me, much to my delight! I am lucky enough to be joining the team at Blaavand Station as a migration observer. I will be there from 20 March to 15 May. Beyond scientific programs, I enjoy spending time drawing living creatures with my watercolor palette and colored pencils or playing a few tunes on the guitar. Perhaps some music will be heard in the evenings at Blaavand Station...
