Looking forward to the tits...

Seawatching in the bunker in the morning, nice guests and a walk in the Bog in the afternoon.
af Hanelie Sidhu
Hello together,

Now that everyone had left after Week 42, it was a quiet day today. It started for Jonas, Sebastian and me in the Sabine bunker. For a while John Frikke also came to watch birds and keep us company. It didn't turn out to be as great a sea-watching day as we had hoped. Nevertheless, we were able to observe some birds. Some flocks of Eiders were out, also Teals, Pintails and Wigeons, we also saw a Kittiwake and a few Razorbills. Shore Larks were also on the beach near the bunker.

At noon we were back at the station. Bent was already waiting for us here und later, David also dropped by the station. And in the afternoon Sebastian and Jonas got a visit from their friend Frederik as well as Thomas and Tim. I went into the Bog. At the beginning of my walk it was quite quiet and almost nothing was stirring in the bushes either. I could see a few Meadow Pippits. Nevertheless, I walked on, enjoying the sunshine after the last few rainy days. Behind the three poles in a little forest near summer houses I was rewarded. Here I first heard mainly goldcrests. After standing still for a while, I saw them too: several goldcrests and tits. Yes, I also believe that we will have some tits in the nets tomorrow.

Tomorrow there will still be a south-westerly wind, but not as strong. We are looking forward to a tit-filled Monday! See you then!
