Exploring the area and late ringing
The nets stayed closed this morning because Bent couldn't come as he wasn't feeling well. So I joined Jimmy on the dunes to sea watch. There was very little activity but we did see some gadwalls, mallards and teals among others.
Since the weather was nice I decided to take the bike and get to know the area a little more. In the early afternoon I rode to the edge of the Ho Bugt from where I could see the Island Langli and parts of Skallingen. Both very important for breeding and migratory birds. On my way there I passed through the Ho Plantage and also visited the viewpoint from Jens Jessen Sande.

Jimmy went to pick up Morten in the afternoon and as I came back from my excursion he had just opened the nets and was going for the first control round. The nets were closed at 19:00 and in the two and a half hours they were up we ringed three new birds and controled two.
